With a drumming sensitivity to his instrumental compositions, his music draws listeners in with subtlety and introspective of space and time. Bringing a distinctive angle to his fill arrangement, he creates nuanced space for improvisation in some of the most well-known songs such as summer of 69 and Money for Nothing.
Jamie 'Jet' has been playing drums for over 35 years. Played for Koonawarra Public school which was his first band.
Drummer Jet Murphy oscillates between the worlds of improvisation and composition., he presents a performance that reflects his love for rock and metal. His debut album with punk band Downshift ‘Pleasing the Masses’ in 2000 was a success.
While playing for Downshift he joined a project and formed the band Self Inflicted (later renamed Password Fatigue). After about 10 years this band finally disbanded.
In 2020 he joined November's Oath and left after a great 2 years in 2022. Jamie and Niki formed DevilzOwn after leaving Vicious Circle
